Dr Elyse Jewer

 

Orthopaedic Surgeon

 

Dr Jewer studied Applied and Theoretical Chemistry at Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador, obtaining her Bachelor of Science Honours Degree. She then continued her studies at Memorial in Medicine and then in Orthopaedic Surgery.

Her residency in Orthopaedic Surgery was completed in June of 2019, as she obtained full certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. She advanced her skillset in reconstructive hand and wrist surgery at the University of Toronto and completed her fellowship in hand, wrist and peripheral nerve surgery at Toronto Western Hospital in June 2020.

Dr Jewer's relentless pursuit of knowledge and higher learning has led her to Oxford University in England, where she is currently working on her Masters in Surgical Science. She began her practice in Waterloo in 2020 following her fellowship training, with a focus on hand, wrist and peripheral nerve surgery.
